Eagle Awareness Weekend
Each year approximately 100 bald eagles visit the Bull Shoals area during winter. Visitors will enjoy festivities centered around our national symbol. Activities include lake and river tours, guided bird walks, guest speakers, live bird demonstrations, and live entertainment. All activities are free, except the lake and river cruises. Contact the park for a schedule, (see contact details below).

Program events at the Bull Shoals Theater of the Arts
- Raptor Rehabilitation 2 p.m. - 3 p.m
- Wildlife rehabilitators give wildlife a second chance. Learn from Kenley and Ashley Money from Central Arkansas Raptor Rehabilitation and meet several of the birds in their care.

- Howard Davis Falconry 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Howard Davis is an expert falconer and keeper of birds of prey. Enjoy this presentation of his birds and demonstration of some of their abilities. He is an exceptional speaker shares his love of birds and birding through this interactive session of show-and-tell.

- Live Eagle and Birds of Prey Demonstration 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Have you ever seen a bald eagle up-close? Families are encouraged to attend this special presentation of the Little Rock Zoo’s birds of prey. In addition to an eagle, they will showcase various other birds of prey and demonstrate their amazing abilities. Be sure to arrive early for a good seat. Don’t miss the photo opportunity at the end of the show!

- Bull Shoals-White River State Park welcomes Harmony to the stage for a great evening of traditional and contemporary folk music, old-time string band music, and three-part harmony gospel. Harmony is a local band from Mountain View, Arkansas. Please join us for an evening of toe-tappin’ good times!
